Marine veteran collects hundreds of shoes to help Penn Hills students Tribune-Review Leonard Hammonds II, 40, holds one of the 600 donated pairs of shoes he's received to give to Penn Hills students. In November, Hammonds started Strides of Confidence, a program to put new shoes on the feet of people who need them.
